Eurobodalla Shire Council is committed to supporting a healthy and active community.

We run a range of programs to encourage and enable healthy lifestyles, and we advocate for local sport, recreation and special interest groups in Eurobodalla.

Draft Recreation and Open Space Strategy

Council's draft Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2017 provides a guide for the planning, development, management and use of recreation facilities and open space in Eurobodalla.

Council endorsed the draft Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2017 for public exhibition at the Council Meeting on Tuesday 26 September 2017.

The draft Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2017 will be on exhibition until midnight Tuesday 24 October 2017 at which time submissions will close.

All submissions from the community will be reported to Council for consideration before the adoption of the final Strategy.

You can download a copy of the draft Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2017 below and copies are available at Council’s customer service centre at Moruya and at the Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma libraries.

Winter Sports 2017

Just because it's cold, doesn't mean you have to stay indoors! Choose a sport, get outside and start playing!

Eurobodalla sporting clubs have lots on offer for kids, teen and adults over the winter months including rugby, AFL, soccer, hockey, netball, bike riding, archery and baseball.

8 popular swimming beaches are patrolled every day during the summer school holidays. Outside the summer holidays, these beaches are patrolled on weekends and public holidays from September to April.

Swimming pools

Our swimming centres at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma are open from mid-September to March. They are managed by Community Aquatics Pty Ltd.

Community Activity Trailer

Council's Community Activity Trailer is available to book free of charge for community groups, schools and organisations. It can be used for educational programs, community events and is also a great resource for team building exercises and staff training days.

Eurobodalla Sports Forum

We host a quarterly meeting for local sports clubs and groups to network with each other, find out about grants and training opportunities, get updates on sportsground works, and give your feedback about how Council can help your group.

Live Life Eurobodalla

The Live Life program runs and shares information about healthy events and activities going on in Eurobodalla. It is free to join or get your activity on the list. The program aims to make it easy to start and keep living a healthy and active lifestyle.
