There is a range of on-street and off-street car parking throughout Eurobodalla. Selected parking locations have time restrictions and drivers should check signage for time limits as these may vary.
There is no paid parking in the Eurobodalla Shire.
Batemans Bay parking zones
The Batemans Bay CBD has a variety of parking areas, including Council car parks, on-street parking and privately-owned car parks open to the public.
Council's on-street parking and car parks have 15 minute, 1 hour and 3 hour time limits to increase the turnover of vehicles. Timed parking operates from 8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 12.30pm Saturday.
Time restrictions in privately-owned car parks may vary and drivers should check signage before leaving their vehicles.
The maps below illustrates Council's timed parking locations, as well as other parking zones around the CBD (click for larger image). Additional parking is available in the Mackay Park precinct for use during peak periods.
Mobility Parking Scheme permits
Holders of Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) permits can park for additional time in sign-posted timed on-street parking spaces and car parks operated by Council.
These additional times are as follows:
- in parking zones of more than 30 minutes - the vehicle can park for an unlimited amount of time
- in 30 minute parking zones - the vehicle can park for up to 2 hours
- in parking zones of less than 30 minutes - the vehicle can park for a maximum of 30 minutes.
MPS permit holders can stop in a No Parking zone for up to 5 minutes to drop off or pick up passengers or goods as long as the driver remains within three metres of the vehicle.
No charge applies for MPS permit holders in metered parking zones. There is no metered parking in the Eurobodalla.
MPS permits do not allow a vehicle to stand or park in areas signposted:
- no stopping
- taxi zone
- bus zone
- loading zone
- work zone
