Temporary Road Closures
The below road closures are temporary so that local community events or works can be conducted safely. While the road is closed, motorists and pedestrians must follow the directions of authorised traffic controllers.
Closures due to road works or events may be affected by weather conditions.
Beach Road, Batemans Bay
- 6pm to 6am Thursday 22 and Friday 23 November, weather permitting
Beach Road will be closed between the Princes Highway and Perry Street
The road closure is required to bitumen seal the new left hand turn lane and to relocate the traffic lights at the Princes Highway to suit the newly widened road.
The Princes Highway will remain open although it will be reduced to one lane travelling in each direction operating under traffic control.
Motorists wanting to turn onto Beach Road from the Princes Highway will be required to enter via the traffic lights at North Street.
Motorists exiting Beach Road heading south on the Princes Highway can turn left at the Perry Street roundabout and enter the highway near McDonalds.
Those wanting to head north on the highway from Beach Road will need to turn right at the Perry Street roundabout and enter the Highway via North Street.
Sunpatch Parade, Tomakin
- Tuesday 13 November from 7am to 4pm, weather permitting - POSTPONED
Sunpatch Parade will be closed between Ainslie Parade and 14 Sunpatch Parade.
Residents in the affected area (2-14 Sunpatch Parade) will be able to access their properties.
All other vehicles on Sunpatch Parade will need to detour south onto Parks Parade to access Ainslie Parade.
Watertank Road, Corunna
- 6am Thursday 8 November to 6pm Friday 30 November
Watertank Road will be closed from the Old Highway to the Princes Highway.
As part of their Traffic Movement and Control Plans, Forestry Corporation of NSW has requested the road closure to allow logging operations to be conducted safely in Corunna State Forest.
Motorists will need to access the Old Highway from the Princes Highway at Brushgrove Lane.

Special Event - Mountain Bike Skills Day 2018
Deep Creek Dam Road, Mogo
- 6am to 11.30pm Saturday 1 December
Deep Creek Dam Road will be closed from the eastern side of the Botanic Gardens carpark. Access to the Botanic Gardens will not be affected.
The road closure is required to allow the 12 Hour Wild Wombat Mountain Ride to be conducted safely.
Council and event organisers apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary road closure.
