Rebates for sustainable living
There are a range of generous rebates available from all three
levels of government that make it more affordable to install
environmentally-friendly hot water systems, rainwater tanks,
ceiling insulation, dual-flush toilets, washing machines and
greywater systems.
Governments across Australia offer a range of rebates and other
assistance to help you to live greener. Use the Australian
Government Living
Greener website to search for rebates and assistance in saving
energy, saving water, reducing waste and smarter travel. This one-
stop- shop provides information on all government rebates and
assistance to be more sustainable in your state. You may be
eligible for a number of programs.
The Home Power Saver
program has a lot to offer to eligible households. It
provides:
- a FREE home power assessment by an energy expertwho will show
you how much your appliances cost to run
- a FREE Power Savings Kit*(valued up to $200) installed by the
energy expert at the time of the assessment containing a stand-by
saver power board, energy efficient light globes, a water efficient
showerhead, shower timer, draught-proofing strips and more
- a FREE Power Savings Action Plan
