Carters Beach Headland Concept Plan
South Moruya Biocertification Project
A project is being considered for the South Moruya area that
aims to streamline the development assessment process through a
mechanism called Biodiversity Certification. The Project proposes
to specifically focus on the larger, rural residential (1c) zoned
holdings in the South Moruya area that are potentially capable of
further subdivision.

Batemans Bay Library & Education Centre Extension
project
Plans for the expansion of the Batemans Bay Library and
Education Centre are now available at Council's administration
building in Moruya and at Hanging Rock. The project will
accommodate increased student enrolments for the University of
Wollongong and the Illawarra Institute of TAFE and improve the
quality of the library facilities in the Bay.
The Development Application lodged with Council includes
modifications to existing seminar rooms and office space,
construction of new seminar rooms and office space and an expansion
of the existing Council library. Construction is scheduled to
commence in late March 2011.
