Surfbeach Bulky Goods Centre
The vision for this development is the creation of a hardware and
home improvements centre for the Shire.
In December 2009 Council entered into a conditional contract
with Bunning for the purchase of a parcel of land on George Bass
Drive in Surf Beach.
A Development Application was lodged by Bunnings in June 2010
for land clearing, earthworks, bulky goods sales, building and car
parking which was subsequently withdrawn when the need for
additional investigation/reports was identified.
In August 2011, a revised Development Application was lodged
with Council and this has been referred to the Joint Regional
Planning Panel (JRPP) for determination. Information can be
found on the JRPP website.
