The Flyway Print Exchange is an international environmental art project that we are pleased to be hosting.
The project involved twenty artists from nine countries along the East-Asian Australasian Flyway, the flight path travelled by Australia’s migratory shorebirds twice annually between their breeding and non-breeding grounds. Each of the artists has created an original print inspired by the idea of the Flyway.
This exhibition brings together work of artists from a wide variety of cultural and artistic backgrounds, investigating the notion of the Flyway. Artists artistically and personally explore the age-old linking of our countries through the natural phenomenon of the annual departure and arrival of migratory birds.
This exhibition can also be viewed each Saturday during the exhibition period from 9:30am to 12pm. The library is closed Sunday.
