National Sorry Day Bridge Walk | Moruya

When: Friday 24 May 2019, 10:30am - 12pm

Meet at: North Head Drive Park, corner of North Head Drive and Princes Highway, Moruya (Northern end of Moruya Bridge)

Finishing at: the lawn in front of the Eurobodalla Shire Council Chambers, Vulcan Street, Moruya

Cost: Free

The Eurobodalla Aboriginal Boys to Men Group, in partnership with Council, extend an invitation to all members of the community to march in unity across Moruya Bridge and the length of Vulcan Street to celebrate National Reconciliation Week.

The walk will be followed by a traditional smoking ceremony and a performance by a local Indigenous dance group held on the lawns in front of the Moruya Council Chambers.

All members of the community are welcome to join the National Sorry Day Bridge Walk in the spirit of acknowledging and recognising Australia's traditional land holders and to pay respects to the members of the Stolen Generation.

The group will gather at 10.30am to begin the walk at 11am.
