Council currently offers the following grant programs:
Healthy communities and seniors week grants
Each year we invite not-for-profit community groups that are working hard to improve the health and wellbeing of local people to apply for grants of up to $500. Grants open September 2018.
NAIDOC Week activity grants
NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) Week Activity Grants of up to $500 are offered annually to community groups, schools and non-profit organisations. Grants must be used for activities that help celebrate NAIDOC Week. Grant are now closed.
Local Heritage Places Grants
This annual grant program provides financial assistance to owners of heritage buildings in Eurobodalla, aimed at encouraging the conservation of heritage items identified in the Eurobodalla Local Environmental Plans.
Rates Subsidy Grants 2017
Council will consider a grant to partially subsidise the annual rates and charges showing on the rates assessment for registered charities and not-for-profit sporting, social and cultural organisations providing community services or benefits. This is a four year grant.
A budget has been approved in the Operational Plan for each financial year during the four year period.
These grants can be applied to rented or leased premises where the applicant is responsible for the rates payment.
Education and School Grants
Council will consider a grant to local schools and education establishments for annual speech night awards, for academic and other achievement.
Council will also consider granting contributions toward annual scholarships offered by universities and other educational institutions.
Mayoral grants of up to $750 are available throughout the year to Eurobodalla residents, community groups, schools and non-profit organisations where the outcome is likely to enhance the social, recreational and cultural wealth of our Shire.
Safety and Emergency Services Grants
Four-yearly grants are available to Eurobodalla based safety and emergency services organisations to assist with the operational costs of providing their services to our community.
