About the Divisional Manager Property and Commercial Services

Andrew Greenway

As Divisional Manager, Andrew manages the teams responsible for:

  • Property: managing Council property acquisitions and disposals, leases and licences for Council and Crown land.
  • Moruya Airport: Operations and redevelopment of Moruya Airport.
  • Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens: operational management of this important tourism asset.
  • Batemans Bay Beach Resort and Council’s three campgrounds: contract management of the operations of Batemans Bay Beach Resort and North Head, Dalmeny and Mystery Bay campgrounds.

In total, there are 12 positions (including full time and part time) in Council’s Business Development and Events division.

Employment experience

Andrew has held a number of senior roles in the private sector and within state government.

He had a long career in banking until 2002, firstly in the Trustee Savings Bank in the UK and then Lloyds TSB which covered retail and small business banking, lending and insurance roles as well as private banking.

Andrew has extensive experience in the tourism industry at a major wildlife park in Sydney, as tourism manager of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority from 2005 to 2009 and as a zone manager in the regional marketing team at Destination NSW from 2009 to 2012 (formerly Tourism NSW).

He has worked for Eurobodalla Shire Council since 2012, first as Divisional Manager of Tourism and Economic Development and now as Divisional Manager, Business Development and Events.

Qualifications

Andrew has a Degree in Banking and Modern Languages as well as degree level post graduate qualifications as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also has training in a number of vocational areas including negotiation skills, local government leadership and others.
