A group of South Heads residents met recently at a public meeting to discuss cycleways in the South Head area. At this meeting many issues were raised including the safety of cyclists and pedestrians gaining access to public facilities.

From this meeting a committee was formed to help co-ordinate the project and to investigate many avenues of fundraising and of obtaining grants to help with the construction of a shared pathway and cycleway.

Stage 1
It was agreed the best location to commence stage 1 of the project would be from the Surf Life Saving Club House to the intersection of South Head Rd and Charles Moffit Drive.

From Native Way to Dell Parade.

Hazel Road to Dell Parade.

Stage 4
Hazel Road to Preddys Warf. Currently in progress.
