Social support

Council's individual and group activities facilitate friendships and enable you to connect with your local community.

Depending on the type of service you need, our trained Active Living volunteers  or our qualified and experienced staff may provide your service, or a combination of both.

Individual support

We can match you with a friendly volunteer who can provide regular help with shopping, attending appointments and other errands, or companionship and a chat over a cuppa.

Social support groups

Our Active Living program hosts a variety of groups that go on outings to local venues such as galleries, movies, clubs and cafés.

Other groups meet at the Dr Mackay Community Centre in Moruya to play games, quizzes, take part in arts and craft activities or get together over lunch.

If you require transport to attend any of these groups, our Community Transport staff can help you.
