About the Divisional Manager Technical Services
As Divisional Manager, Suketu manages the teams responsible for:
- Investigation, Survey and Design
- Traffic Management including the Local Traffic Committee
- Asset Information Support
- Asset Management
In total, there are 23 positions (including full time and part time) in Council’s Technical Services division.
Suketu Bhatt has been Eurobodalla Shire Council's Divisional Manager, Technical Services since February 2017.
Suketu has over 30 years’ experience in the infrastructure engineering, design, project and asset management within the water, land and urban development, local government, electricity and oil and gas sectors. During his career Suketu has performed leadership and management roles such as Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Consultant, Asset Manager, Asset Management Consultant, Project Manager/Director, Customer Services Manager, Senior Operations Manager, etc. He performed these and more roles while working with public and private organisations in Australia and India.
Suketu completed Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (First Class) from one of the renowned universities, Shri M S University of Baroda, Baroda in India, established by then British Government. Suketu has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Technology Management from Deakin University, Melbourne; Management Essentials from the Curtin University Business School, Perth; and Asset Management Fundamentals from the Asset Management Council, Australia. Suketu is also progressing a Professional Certificate in Asset Management Planning with the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA).
Suketu is a member of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA), NSW, a Chartered Professional Engineer with the Institution of Engineers (IEA) Australia and sits on the Local Traffic Committee. He is also a cheerful person to be spotted around Eurobodalla Shire.
