About the Director of Corporate and Commercial Services

Anthony O'Reilly

As the Director of Corporate and Commercial Services and as part of the Executive Leadership Team of Eurobodalla Shire Council, Anthony's role involves full coverage of Council's finance functions including Financial, Management and Revenue areas, and Governance, encompassing Privacy, Insurance and Risk Management.  Corporate Services such as Property, Information Technology, Customer Service and Records and the operation of the shires Botanic Gardens and the Batemans Bay Beach Resort also all report to Anthony.

Anthony currently has 58 staff members who make up the Corporate and Commercial Services teams, seven of whom report directly to him.

Employment experience

For over seven years, Anthony was the General Manager Finance & Strategy with Campbell Page Limited.  In this role, Anthony guided the financial strategy that enabled the significant periods of growth in 2006, 2007 and again in 2009.  He played a key role in Campbell Page's investment strategy in the UK market.  Anthony facilitated strong financial management with the operations of Campbell Page which has built a strong financial base for the future.  Reporting to the Board and its subcommittee, the Finance & Audit Committee, Anthony facilitated and assisted effective and appropriate organization governance.

During that time Anthony provided leadership across multiple areas including Finance, Business Intelligence, Business Excellence, ICT, Property & Fleet and Business Review as well as overseeing new projects in their incubation phase including Strategic Community Partnerships and Social Housing.

Other positions held by Anthony include Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, Chief Financial Officer with FlowCom Limited, Manager – Corporate Finance with BDO in Australia and the Manager – Audit & Business Services WHK.


Anthony received his Bachelor of Business and Accounting at the University of Western Sydney in 1990 and also received a Masters in Dispute Resolution (with Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2003. Anthony received his Masters of Local Government in 2017.

Anthony is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia - New Zealand and a member of CPA Australia.


Anthony is the Treasurer of the Moruya Red Door Theatre Company Inc.and pro bono auditor of Moruya Community Work Shed Inc.
