Little Sellers Art Prize

The Little Sellers Art Prize is an annual competition for budding local artists aged 5 to 18. Entrants are asked to create an artwork that reflects a theme, interpreting it in a way that is meaningful to them while demonstrating creativity and imagination.

The theme for this year's competition is 'North, south, east, west...'

Prizes

There are four age categories for entries:

  • ages 5 - 8
  • ages 9 - 12
  • ages 13 - 15
  • ages 16 - 18

Six finalists from each category will have their work framed and exhibited in the Eurobodalla libraries between 20 October and 6 November 2020.

The winner for each category will receive a $50 voucher to art supply store Amanda's of Mogo, and runners-up will receive $30 vouchers. The overall winner of the Little Sellers Art Prize, who is chosen from the four category winners, will receive $200 from art collector, patron and philanthropist Basil Sellers.

In addition all entries will be in the running to win:

  • Eurobodalla Children's Award of $75 (under 12 years)
  • Eurobodalla Youth Award of $75 (12 to 18 years)

The three major prize winner's artwork will be acquired by Council and form part of the permanent collection. Finalists will be contacted from 24 August 2020, with winners announced by the Mayor at the Moruya Council Chambers Thursday, 15 October 2020.

Entries for the 2020 Little Sellers Art Prize are now open, closing Friday 10 August 2020 at 4.30pm.
