Book free worm farming, composting workshops

Published: 11 February 2021

If you’ve been wanting to reduce your impact on the planet, Eurobodalla Council has the perfect place to start.

Bookings are open for the Council’s popular worm farming and home composting workshops in March – and they’re free.

Residents can choose to learn how to successfully use a hot composting machine, or how to keep a thriving worm farm.

Both turn kitchen waste into garden gold by transforming unwanted food scraps into a nutritious and natural fertiliser that improves garden soil and plant health.

Participants receive all they need to get started – either a compost bin kit or worm farm and live worms, depending on their chosen workshop.

The composting workshops will be held at the Moruya Waste Transfer Station, on Yarragee Road on Friday 12 March, 9.30-11am, Saturday 13 March, 9.30-11am, Friday 19 March, 12-1.30pm and Saturday 20 March, 9.30-11am.

The worm farming workshops will be held Friday 12 March, 12-1.30pm, Saturday 13 March, 12-1.30pm, Friday 19 March, 9.30-11am and Saturday 20 March, 12-1.30pm.
