Clean Up Australia Day

Globally, Australians are the second highest producers of waste per person, with an estimated 7 billion cigarette butts and 50 million plastic bags littered in Australia every year.

Held every year on the first Sunday in March, Clean Up Australia Day attracts more than half a million volunteers Australia-wide, and is the nation's largest community-based environmental event.

Eurobodalla Council has proudly supported Clean Up Australia Day for the past 22 years, helping communities to clean up, fix up and conserve Eurobodalla's environment. Thank you to all those volunteers and businesses who have helped us clean up our waterways, parklands and beaches over the years.
