Clean Up Australia Day

Help keep our community clean

Every Australian produces 100kg of plastic waste each year. That's 2.5 million tonnes across our nation, and 130,000 tonnes end up in our oceans.

Plastic makes up over 80% of all litter collected on Clean Up Australia Day. You can help change this.

About Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day brings together more than 800,000 volunteers nationwide. It's Australia's biggest community environmental event.

This event inspires communities to care for our environment, eliminate litter, and reduce waste. Eurobodalla residents have a real chance to make a difference in our local area.

Eurobodalla Council has supported this event for over 25 years. Local volunteers and businesses work together to clean our waterways, parks, and beaches. We thank everyone who has joined us over the years.

2026 Clean Up dates

Mayor Mathew Hatcher will join some local school groups for their clean ups and award prizes to the best student participants.
