Potato Paws has a name
Batemans Bay Library’s playful robot dog is now officially called Potato Paws.
Congratulations to Violet, 13, whose winning entry also included the cute nickname “Tato.” The name was selected from dozens of entries in our recent community competition.
Eurobodalla Libraries Coordinator Sam Fenton said Violet’s suggestion perfectly captured the joyful spirit of our robot pup, and the competition was a fun way to spark creativity.
Potato Paws is part of Eurobodalla Libraries’ mission to use interactive tech to engage with our library users. With sensors, voice interaction and playful programming, he’s already a big hit.

Open Monday to Saturday during exhibitions, 10am - 4pm
Access to the Bas (including ramp access) will be via Murray Street after 12.30pm on Saturdays.
