Batemans Bay, Princes Highway+

We're installing new town entry signs.

Why: To help shape a consistent welcoming visitor experience.

When: June 2026

Bodalla, Potato Point Road+

We're building a bridge over Borang Creek and upgrading a section of the road.

Why: To improve road safety and relaibility of access to Potato Point. The upgrade will reduce the likelihood of road closures caused by the flooding of Borang Creek during periods of high rainfall.

When: July 2025 to June 2026

Cadgee, Wattlegrove Road+

We're upgrading the first section of the road.

Why: To allow for better flow of water in the creek, improve road surface and reduce maintenance requirements.

When: April to August 2026

Work includes:

  • removing the old culvert at the creek crossing
  • installing new culverts and headwalls
  • rebuilding the crossing, tying in both sides of the road
  • grading the road
  • restoring the area.

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience delays.
  • Commuters will be diverted along a short side track  around the work area.

Dalmeny, Mort Avenue+

We're upgrading a section of pathway near the Tennis Courts.

Why: To improve the pathway network and make it easier to get around.

When: June 2026

Work includes:

  • removing the bitumen path and installing a concrete path
  • allowing time for the concrete to cure
  • restoring the area.

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Path users will be diverted around the path.

Moruya, Gundary Oval+

We're installing new stormwater pipes.

Why: To extend the stormwater network to help divert excess water out of the area.

When: June to August 2026

Work includes:

  • installing new pipes along Thomas Street and into the hockey field
  • restoring the area once the pipes are connected.

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • The worksite will be secured to allow use of the playing field on the weekends.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience delays.

South Moruya

We're buildinga roundabout and new roads alongside the TAFE and Essential Energy station.

Why: To provide access to future housing developments in Moruya, the new Eurobodalla Emergency Services Precinct, and the Moruya TAFE campus.

When: January to December 2026

Moruya, Shelley Road+

We're upgrading a short section of the road.

Why: To improve road drainage and provide a durable road surface.

When: June to July 2026

Work includes:

  • removing the road surface
  • laying a new asphalt surface.

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience temporary delays or restricted access.

Moruya, Thomas Street+

We're building a footpath between Campbell and Murray streets.

Why: To extend the pathway network and make it easier to get around.

When: June 2026

Work includes:

  • installing a 1.5-metre-wide concrete path on the eastern side of the street
  • allowing time for the concrete to cure
  • restoring the area.

Impacts during work:

  • Some sections of driveways may need to be temporarily removed to install the path. We’ll fully restore any affected driveways at the end of the project.
  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters should allow extra travel time.
  • If we need to interrupt property access, we’ll notify individual households.

Narooma, Cole Crescent and Dorothy Drive+

We're upgrading the water mains outside 2 to 18 Dorothy Drive and along both sides of Cole Crescent.

Why: To maintain and improve the local water supply.

When: May to June 2026

Work includes:

  • installing new water pipes and service lines in the nature strips
  • connecting the new pipes and restoring the area.

Impacts during work:

  • Some sections of driveways may need to be temporarily removed to install the pipes. We’ll fully restore any affected driveways at the end of the project.
  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters should allow extra travel time.
  • If we need to interrupt water supply or property access, we’ll notify individual households.

Narooma, Mitchell Place+

We’re rebuilding the full length of road and installing kerb and gutter.

Why: To improve road quality and safety, and direct excess stormwater out of the area.

When: June to October 2026

Work includes:

  • installing stormwater pipes
  • constructing kerb and gutter on both sides of the street
  • connecting driveways to the new kerb and restoring impacted driveways
  • rebuilding the road base and laying a new bitumen surface
  • restoring the site once work is complete.

Impacts during work: 

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters should allow extra travel time.
  • The site supervisor will contact individual households if property access will be affected.

Narooma, Princes Highway+

Nelligen pontoon+

We're replacing the old pontoon at Wharf Road.

Why: to provide a more stable and secure platform, with improved accessibility for a wider range of users. It’s designed to perform well in changing tide conditions, helping make boating safer and easier.

When: June 2026

What will happen

  • We'll remove the old pontoon but keep the old timber piles which are still in good condition.
  • We'll install the new pontoon segments and include a durable, non-slip deck, protective edge buffers, a new kayak launching platform and a replacement jet ski dock.

Impact during works:

  • The facility will be unavailable during works.
  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.

Funding: The project is supported through the NSW Government’s Boating Infrastructure for Communities program ($155,027) with a Council contribution of $50,000.

Nelligen, The River Road+

We're upgrading the road between Nelligen Creek and the sealed section.

Why: to improve road safety and drainage, provide a higher level of service for road users, and reduce maintenance requirements.

When: May to August 2026

Work includes:

  • widening and reshaping the road
  • upgrading and installing drainage infrastructure
  • strengthening the road pavement
  • sealing the road.

Impact during works:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters should allow extra travel time.

Rosedale, Yowani Road+

We’re upgrading the turning area at the northern end of Yowani Road.

  • Why: To make turning safer and easier for all vehicles. The improvements will particularly help heavy vehicles, including garbage trucks and emergency services.
  • When: June to July 2026

What will happen:

  • We’ll carry out minor earthworks and install sediment and erosion control measures.
  • We’ll construct an informal gravel turning area.
  • We’ll come back to formalise and seal the turning area once funding becomes available.

  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience temporary delays or restricted access.
  • The site supervisor will contact individual households if property access will be affected.

Shire-wide, sealed roads+

We're maintaining sealed roads across the Eurobodalla by repairing potholes and carrying out heavy patching where needed.

Why: To improve safety and drivability by filling potholes as a quick repair, reducing the risk of vehicle damage and helping stop the road surface from getting worse. Where a longer-term fix is needed, we may carry out heavy patching to repair larger or more damaged sections of sealed road.

When: Work is ongoing

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • The road surface may be uneven or disturbed while pothole repairs and patching are underway, so drivers should slow down and take extra care.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience delays.

Shire-wide, unsealed roads+

We're maintenance grading Araluen Road, Larrys Mountain Road, Clouts Road, Meadows Road, Hawdons Road, Burri Road, Bevian Road, Lattas Point Road, Noads Drive, Guthrie Street, Main Street, Barlings Beach Access Road and Mount Dromedary Trail.

Why: To improve safety and drivability by smoothing the surface, removing corrugations and potholes, and helping water drain away from the road.

When: June 2026, subject to weather and road conditions

Impacts during work:

  • Large vehicles and equipment will operate in the area.
  • The road surface will be disturbed and may be uneven while grading is underway, so drivers should slow down and take extra care.
  • Traffic control measures will be in place, and commuters may experience delays or temporary restricted access.
