EPA pollution monitoring data

Eurobodalla Council operates five sewage treatment plants under environmental licenses granted by the NSW Environmental Protection Authority at:

  • Batemans Bay
  • Moruya
  • Narooma
  • Tomakin
  • Tuross.

The Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act) requires the public display of environmental monitoring data within 14 days of the results being available. The POEO Act also requires the preparation and implementation of pollution incident response management plans for each licensed premises.

Pollution Incident Response Management Plan

The Pollution Incident Response Management Plan for Eurobodalla's sewerage schemes outlines:

  • procedures for notifying a pollution incident
  • the immediate action to be taken to reduce or control any pollution
  • procedures for coordinating any action taken in combating the pollution caused by the incident.
