Council works collaboratively with Eurobodalla's thriving arts sector, South East Arts, and local business to cultivate and promote opportunities for the community to experience the arts.

Eurobodalla Shire Council aims to support the unique creative identity of our individual artists while also promoting Eurobodalla as a place that values the expression of history, heritage and creativity.

Council's Creative Arts Services has extensive knowledge and experience in the arts sector. Our team provides a comprehensive range of creative arts opportunities to the community across a variety of arts practices including music, literature, performance and visual arts.

Prizes and exhibitions

  • Basil Sellers Art Prize: A biennial arts competition open to visual artists in NSW and the ACT awarding a prize pool of $25,000. Winners of the 2020 Basil Sellers Art Prize were announced in early October, 2020.
  • Little Sellers Art Prize: This annual competition is for young local artists aged 5 to 18.
  • ReVive Art Prize: This is a biennial competition where artwork must be created primarily from materials reclaimed from the waste stream. Entries for the next Revive Art Prize open in November 2021.
  • Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre: come and see the latest exhibition, attend an artist talk or join in a workshop at the Bas.

Public art

Council has a duty of care is to ensure artworks pose no risk to public safety and have reasonable management and maintenance costs.
