Y drive learner driver program

Y drive helps eligible people in Eurobodalla obtain their learner (Ls) and provisional (Ps) driver licences.

You are eligible to apply to be on the Y drive program if you live in Eurobodalla and meet at least one of these criteria:

  • do not have access to the support you require to complete the licensing requirements
  • do not have access to a suitable vehicle
  • are struggling financially
  • are a twin, triplet or higher multiple.

The Ls program can help by:

  • paying for the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) and learner licence
  • assisting you to source identification documents
  • supporting you to prepare to sit the DKT or to complete the interactive DKT online.
  • helping you with transport to and from Service NSW.

The Ps program can help by:

  • helping pay for the Hazard Perception Test, driving tests and provisional licence
  • providing up to 10 professional driving lessons
  • providing 1:1 mentored driving support if required
  • providing access to a vehicle to learn to drive
  • assisting with safer driving courses and practical workshops
  • helping you get to and from Service NSW.
