Eurobodalla’s councillors have voted to renew the Rodeo Association of Moruya's five-year licence to hold events at the Moruya Showground at the council meeting on Tuesday 28 March.

Council received more than 1,800 public submissions, for and against, after the period for public consultation was extended beyond the usual 28 day submission period. The decision was then deferred from the 28 February meeting to 28 March to allow councillors sufficient time to read through the submissions.

The vote was split six to three with councillors Dannock, Diskon, Harrison, Hatcher, Pollock and Schutz voting for the renewal and councillors Grace, Mayne and Worthington against.
