Programs for preschools
What goes in the bin
‘What goes in the bin’ is an interactive activity where children bid for a particular item to go in their bin. Bin covers are used as costumes, and recycling items, soft plastics and other items are used so that children learn which items go in each of the three household waste coloured bins.
Compost critters
Compost critters is an outdoor activity designed to encourage children to learn about some of the great little critters that thrive in our soils and play an important role in our environment.
Hands-on activities and workshops
We also offer:
- assistance to preschools to establish and harvest compost
- activities about recycling and water use at preschools by conducting hands-on workshops designed for children and their carers.
