Reflect and heal on environmental losses

A free event next month invites local residents to lay down their grief for the environment after the fires and spend time in the healing surrounds of the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden.

Hosted by the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre in partnership with Shoalhaven Health and Arts, with funding from COORDINAIRE, the event will include a quiet bushwalk where participants will be invited to share thoughts of healing and regrowth.

On their return, participants will create a collective memorial for the plant and animal life lost in the fires.

In the afternoon, artist and celebrant Annette Tesoriero will lead a ceremony in memory of the plant and animal life lost in the recent fires, as well as meditative art activities, followed by a communal art installation.

Reflect and Heal will be held at the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden on Sunday 2 May.
