Welcome relief for Mogo with new public toilet
Media release published: 30 September 2025
When you gotta go, you can go to John Street Reserve. Eurobodalla’s newest public toilet opened last week at Mogo - and it’s right along the Princes Highway.
Locals welcomed installation of these much-anticipated amenities, with Mogo Business Chamber president Richard Adams describing the restrooms as essential.
"These new facilities in the heart of Mogo support local businesses and make the town more accessible, particularly for elderly residents," says Mr Adams.
The new amenities are part of Eurobodalla Council's Public Toilet Strategy, which includes Council’s goal to improve all 67 of the shire’s public toilets.
Council’s public amenities coordinator Joel Mills says public toilets are an important component of community wellbeing.
“This new toilet block at John Street is durable, easy to clean and has its own solar power system,” Mr Mills says.
"We've given all the public toilets in the shire a quality rating, between 1 and 5, so we can focus on the most urgent projects first.
"Over the last 18 months we've upgraded eight toilets and built four new ones in Mogo, Lilli Pilli, Mosquito Bay and Brierlys boat ramp. Next on the list are Preddys Wharf and South Durras Oval."
