High achievers often fly under the radar. Their acts of generosity, bravery, compassion and accomplishment seem to be reward enough.

But we think they deserve a bit more recognition.

Nominations are open for Eurobodalla's annual Local Hero Award. So if you know of someone selflessly helping others in need, bringing people together, bettering the community or kicking some serious goals, get them nominated by 6pm on Friday 11 October.

Eurobodalla's Local Hero will be announced in early November.
