Junior jobs drive
The annual junior jobs drive connects young people with local jobs that are suitable for youth, especially casual jobs over the summer season.
Explore opportunities on a weekly list of new jobs between mid-October to mid-November, plus free support with resume writing and interview preparation.

Hospitality skills training
A free course including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, barista skills and safe food hygiene is also on offer to support 18-24 year olds to enter the hospitality industry.
Participants will learn to safely serve drinks at licensed venues, make coffee and understand food hygiene. Speak to staff at The Job Shop about eligibility requirements and how to enrol.
Training dates:
- Barista skills and safe food hygiene: Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 December (in person, Moruya)
- RSA: Thursday 4 December (online delivery)
Start your own side hustle workshops
For young people who dream of making money for themselves, we are running a four-week workshop program for youth aged 16–25 designed to kick start your small business idea.
Sessions will cover branding, pricing, selling online, and practical skills such as setting up an ABN and invoicing. Participants who complete the program will also receive a voucher to support future market stall opportunities.
