Information session: Council budget and work program - Moruya

Monday 20 May 2024

5:30pm - 6:30pm

Where: Moruya Library, Vulcan Street, Moruya

Cost: Free

Community members are invited to an information session to learn about Council's draft Operational Plan currently on public exhibition for community feedback. Our general manager and finance director will tell you about Council's 2024-25 work plan and budget, and more about our financial situation.

Eurobodalla is a medium-sized Council that's been doing the work of a much larger one. And the community has told us they do not want to see service cuts.

So this year, we've been busy reviewing our work processes to check we're being as efficient as possible. We're saving $4.8M by prioritising our infrastructure program and modifying a few services, but it's not enough.

That's why we're hosting these information sessions, and asking you to look at the draft Operational Plan and Long Term Financial Plan. The drafts are on public exhibition until Tuesday 28 May 2024 . This means you can read it and tell us what you like and what you don't, before it gets formalised by Council.
