South Durras playground rectification works

Project: Improve playground drainage and assist the Durras Community Association in establishing a number of new facilities.

Project details

We are working to:

  • rectify ongoing drainage issues at the Durras Oval playground
  • provide materials to Durras Community Association members that will assist in establishing a nature play space at the Village Road site.

Benefits to the community:

  • Durras Oval playground meets safety requirements and has improved drainage
  • a new children's nature play space and yarning circle on Village Road.

Background and purpose

In late 2024, Council received requests from Durras Community Association asking for:

  • rectification of ongoing drainage issues at Durras Oval playground
  • Council’s assistance with development of a children’s nature play space and yarning circle at Village Road, South Durras.
