The draft Eurobodalla Events Strategy 2025-29 provides a structured approach for Council to support and develop the local events sector, while also promoting Eurobodalla as the ideal destination to host an event.

The strategy improves Council’s grant funding model for events, providing increased flexibility at a time when the events industry needs it most. These initiatives intend to attract high-quality events, strengthen local industries, and enhance the overall event experience for organisers and attendees.

The draft Events Strategy focuses on three key areas:

  1. Streamlining Event Approvals; by making it easier and faster for organisers to run events on Council land by improving internal processes.
  2. Improving and Investing in Event Venues; by shifting support from one-off events to investing in iconic venues and infrastructure that deliver long-term benefits.
  3. Promoting Eurobodalla as an Event Destination, by developing high-quality marketing materials to showcase the region and its unique venues to event organisers and visitors.

The Eurobodalla Destination Action Plan 2024-28 recognises the need for a dedicated Event Strategy to support the region’s growth in tourism and events. The draft Eurobodalla Events Strategy 2025-2029 builds upon the success of the 2019-2023 Strategy and aligns with local, regional, and state policies to strengthen Eurobodalla’s position as a premier event destination

Council is seeking feedback from the community on the draft strategy. Your views will help shape the final strategy and ensure it reflects the community’s needs.
