The Eurobodalla Community Grants and Donations Policy provides a clear and structured approach to allocating financial assistance in line with the Council’s strategic objectives and Community Strategic Plan.

The revised policy aims to support community participation, address local needs through innovative solutions, strengthen the capacity and sustainability of not-for-profit organisations, and promote good governance. The policy also encourages collaboration between community groups, businesses, and stakeholders, ensuring that public funds are used effectively to deliver meaningful, long-term benefits to the Eurobodalla community.

This policy reflects Council’s commitment to:

  • Supporting community-led initiatives that address identified needs.
  • Strengthening partnerships between Council, community groups, and businesses.
  • Ensuring accountability and transparency in the management of public funds.
  • Aligning financial assistance with the objectives of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.

Under Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993, councils can provide financial assistance to eligible individuals, organisations, and businesses for projects that align with its strategic goals. Eurobodalla Shire Council values the vital role that community groups, not-for-profit organisations, and local businesses play in fostering a connected, inclusive, and thriving community.

Council is seeking feedback from the community on the revised policy. Your views will help shape the final policy and ensure it reflects the community’s needs.

You can download a copy of the revised policy on this page, or view a hardcopy at Council’s customer service centre: 89 Vulcan Street, Moruya - Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.
