Volunteers for bushfire recovery

The Volunteers for Bushfire Recovery Program offers access to community activities and appointments for residents of Eurobodalla impacted by the 2019-20 bushfires.

The program offers social assistance and companionship with trained volunteers to support residents who would like to undertake new social, recreation or vocational experiences. If travel is required to local appointments, we may be able to arrange transportation.

Residents can contribute to the health and wellbeing of people impacted by the bushfire crisis by becoming a volunteer.

Volunteer requirements

  • Aged over 18
  • A criminal history check conducted for you
  • Completion of Council's volunteer induction

Volunteers will be encouraged to attend a free mental health first aid training course. Specialist training in mentoring and participatory support is available to eligible volunteers.
