Draft Bodalla Cultural Landscape Study

The significance of Bodalla's cultural landscape has been recognised by members of the local community, Eurobodalla Shire's Heritage Advisory Committee and by Council. The last through the adoption of the 2011 Community Based Heritage Study. Resources at the time did not allow a full assessment of the area's cultural landscape values and that task is now undertaken in this study.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the heritage values of the Bodalla Cultural Landscape (BCL) and to make recommendations if appropriate, eg adjustment to the boundary or further study.

It is not the purpose of this report to make recommendations regarding the manner in which the area's values should or should not be managed.

Discussions with property owners in the BCL with regard to listing the area as a Heritage Conservation Area in the Eurobodalla Local Environmental Plan 2012 will continue as resources allow.
