Heritage tourist map

Council's Heritage Advisory Committee developed a tourist map focusing on some of the main areas of heritage interest in the Eurobodalla. Launched in 2016, the map aims to attract visitors who are interested in heritage, and make sure they know what this beautiful area has to offer.

Our tourism website also provides visitors with more information about each area on the map.

What next?

Our Heritage Strategy 2017-2021 action 27 is to "continue the development of digital and printed local heritage tourism maps hand in hand with the establishment of heritage trails" with the desired outcome that “the local tourism industry is enhanced by the offer of rich heritage products in the form of maps of heritage walks and drives.”

We have gathered heritage maps and brochures that have already been produced for the Eurobodalla to help us understand the heritage places that local communities value. These resources include heritage maps and 'town walks' produced by local historical societies and chambers of commerce.

They have been prepared over the years in different styles and with different level of detail depending on the resources these groups had available at the time.

We will work with those groups to develop a consistent style and quality that will produce attractive and informative local map that complement the shire-wide story of the Eurobodalla.
